Caring for our Carers!

There are an estimated 5.8 million carers across the UK who care for family, friends and neighbours who are disabled, unwell or elderly.

Our practice team has recently been supporting the carers in our community to improve their health and wellbeing. Between August 2024 and March 2025 we were able to identify 55 carers, who weren’t previously recorded as carers in their medical record, and offer them support. We’ve also offered 175 carers a health check and those who attended were contacted by our social prescribing team and given bespoke support and referrals if needed.
